PVN with OCIMF

On 11th Nov 2009 PVN became official and full member of OCIMF. This event marked a new step in process of international merging of Vietnam in general and oil industry in particular.

Being a member of OCIMF, PVN commits to ensure safety to property, people and environment protection in all its activities.

To this goal, PVN has performed the following:

– Experimentally carry out safety audit of some PVOil oil terminals based on the “Terminal Baseline Criteria & Assessment Questionnaires” of OCIMF
– Carry out ship vetting to the tankers calling to Dung quat Refinery terminal from November 2009.
– Organize one seminar to introduce OCIMF/SIRE to 15 attendants from PV EIC,PVT and DQR.
– Actively attend APTF – 16 in Singapore during 18-19 Feb 2010
– Organize a meeting of PVN with OCIMF at OCIMF London office during 8-9 Mar 2010. As the result of the meeting, OCIMF officers highly evaluate the efforts of PVN in safety promotion in line with OCIMF mission and the two parties exchange the views and proposal to support PVN in adopting OCIMF guidance.
